This policy explains what personal information Best Choice Technologies collects through this website, why we collect it, how we use and protect it, and the choices and rights you have.
1. Who we are
This website is operated by Best Choice Technologies (“we”, “us”, “our”), 141, Meiran Road, Bakare Bus Stop, Lagos, Nigeria. We are responsible for the personal information collected through this website.
For any privacy question or request, contact us at bestchoicetechie@gmail.com or +234 806 209 9051.
2. Information we collect
Information you give us
When you send a quote request or enquiry through a form on this website, we collect:
- your name (required);
- your email address and/or phone number;
- the service or product you are interested in;
- your message; and
- the page of the website you sent the form from.
If you contact us by phone, email or WhatsApp, we receive the information you choose to share in that conversation.
If you use the WhatsApp chat assistant on our website and choose to enter your name or email address, we save them together with the topic you selected and any note you add, so we can follow up on your enquiry.
When you send an enquiry (through a form or the chat assistant), we link it to the anonymous statistics of that visit, such as how you found our website, the pages you viewed and your approximate location, to understand which of our content helps customers.
Information collected automatically
- Security information: when a form is submitted, your IP address is used briefly to prevent spam and abuse (for example, limiting repeated submissions). It is held for about ten minutes for this purpose.
- Cookie-free visit statistics: our own server records anonymous statistics about visits: the pages viewed, the website or search engine that referred you, campaign tags in the link, your device type, browser and operating system, and your approximate location (country, region and city). Location is worked out on our server from your IP address using a local database; we do not store your IP address. Visits are grouped using an anonymous code that changes every day, so they cannot be used to identify you or follow you across days. No cookies are used for this, and we do not record visits from browsers that send a “Do Not Track” or “Global Privacy Control” signal. These statistics are kept for up to 13 months.
- Google Analytics (only with your consent): if you allow analytics cookies, Google Analytics collects information such as pages visited, approximate location, device and browser type, and how you arrived at our site.
- Marketing (only with your consent): if you allow marketing cookies, the Meta (Facebook) Pixel may record that you visited our website or submitted an enquiry, so we can measure our advertising.
See our Cookie Policy for details of the cookies and similar technologies we use.
3. How we use your information
- to respond to your enquiry and prepare quotes, proposals and demonstrations;
- to provide and support the services and products you buy from us;
- to keep our website secure and prevent spam and abuse;
- to understand, through anonymous visit statistics, how visitors find and use our website, so we can improve our content and services;
- to understand how our website is used and improve it (only with your consent); and
- to measure the effectiveness of our advertising (only with your consent).
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use it for automated decision-making that has legal or similarly significant effects on you.
4. Our legal basis
- Taking steps at your request before a contract and performing a contract: responding to enquiries and delivering services.
- Legitimate interests: keeping our website secure, managing our business relationships and producing anonymous, cookie-free visit statistics.
- Consent: analytics and marketing cookies and embedded third-party content. You can withdraw consent at any time.
5. Who we share information with
Your information is only shared where needed to run our business, with:
- our website hosting provider, which stores this website and its database;
- our internal customer relationship management (CRM) system, used by our team to manage enquiries;
- email and communication providers we use to correspond with you;
- WhatsApp (Meta): if you choose to chat with us on WhatsApp, your conversation is handled by WhatsApp under its own privacy policy. The website’s chat assistant only prepares a message; nothing is sent until you press send in WhatsApp;
- Google and Meta, only if you have allowed analytics or marketing cookies; and
- authorities, where we are required to by law.
6. International transfers
We serve clients worldwide, and some of our service providers may process information outside your country. Where this happens, we take reasonable steps to ensure your information is protected in line with this policy and applicable data protection law.
7. How long we keep information
We keep enquiry information for as long as needed to respond to you and manage any resulting business relationship. Enquiries that do not lead to working together are reviewed and deleted within 24 months. Client records are kept for as long as required for the services we provide and for our legal, accounting and tax obligations.
8. How we protect your information
We use appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your information, including encrypted connections (HTTPS), access restricted to authorised staff, and regular updates to our website software. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we work to protect your information and will act promptly if a problem occurs.
9. Your rights
Under the Nigeria Data Protection Act 2023 and, where they apply to you, other data protection laws such as the EU and UK GDPR, you may have the right to:
- access the personal information we hold about you;
- ask us to correct inaccurate or incomplete information;
- ask us to delete your information;
- object to or restrict certain processing;
- receive your information in a portable format; and
- withdraw consent at any time, without affecting processing that took place before.
To exercise any of these rights, email bestchoicetechie@gmail.com. We may need to verify your identity before responding. If you are unhappy with how we handle your information, you can complain to the Nigeria Data Protection Commission (NDPC) or the data protection authority in your country.
10. Children
This website is intended for businesses, organisations and adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children through this website. Enquiries about training for young learners should be made by a parent, guardian or school.
11. Third-party websites
Our website links to other websites and services, such as WhatsApp and social media platforms. We are not responsible for their privacy practices, so please review their policies.
12. Changes to this policy
